Information you give us. When you contact us, sign up for our newsletter or request a download, we collect the information you enter:

Contact form: your first and last name, email address and message, plus your company name and phone number if you choose to provide them.
Newsletter signup: your first and last name and email address.
Download requests: your email address, first and last name, company and job title.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Website, we and the services listed below collect standard technical information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, how you arrived at the Website and how you interact with it. Some of this is collected through cookies and similar technologies, described under “Cookies and Tracking” below.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

respond to your inquiries and follow up on requests you make;
send you our newsletter and related updates you have signed up for;
provide the downloads you request and follow up with related information about our services;
understand how visitors use the Website so we can improve it and our marketing;
protect our forms against spam, bots and abuse; and

Services We Use

We rely on the following service providers to operate the Website. Each processes information on our behalf and under its own privacy terms:

Jotform receives and stores the submissions from our contact and newsletter forms (Jotform Privacy Policy).
Mailchimp, an Intuit company, manages our email list and sends our newsletter (Intuit Privacy Statement).
Cloudflare Turnstile checks that form submissions come from people rather than automated programs. To do this, Cloudflare collects limited technical information from your browser and device when you use our forms. Cloudflare’s handling of this information is described in its Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager help us measure traffic to the Website and how it is used (Google Privacy Policy).
Act-On receives the submissions from our download request forms and helps us understand which of our content visitors engage with (Act-On Privacy Policy).
Newfangled is a marketing analytics tool that helps us understand which of our content visitors engage with.
Vimeo hosts the videos embedded on the Website and may collect information when its video player loads (Vimeo Privacy Policy).
Vercel hosts the Website and processes the technical information needed to deliver it to your browser (Vercel Privacy Notice).

Cookies and Tracking

Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Act-On, Newfangled and Vimeo use cookies and similar technologies to recognize returning visitors and measure how the Website is used. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the Website will still work, though some features, such as embedded videos, may behave differently. You can also opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s opt-out browser add-on.

Your Choices

When you sign up for our newsletter, we will email you to confirm your subscription, and you will not receive the newsletter until you do. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing thinkers@smarthinkinginc.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and we will respond to requests as that law requires.

How Long We Keep Information

We keep contact form submissions and download requests for as long as we need them to respond to you and manage our relationship with you, and newsletter information until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Analytics data is kept according to the settings of the services listed above.

Security

We use reputable service providers and reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no method of transmitting or storing data is completely secure.

Children’s Privacy

The Website is intended for business audiences and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
